My volunteer group is called “Volunteer Nigeria!” which supports Nigerians in the diaspora in their volunteer efforts in their own communities or abroad. ‘Volunteer Nigeria!’ began in 2008 as an effort to promote volunteerism amongst Nigerians in the diaspora. Nigerians are volunteering all over the world, but sometimes negative images may overlook this. Highlights events and volunteer opportunities happening in communities in your area while making it known the contributions that Nigerians make to their communities worldwide. Our goal is to shine a spotlight on Nigerians doing good for their communities and showing support for their volunteer opportunities. Let’s support eachother in our individual and collective efforts in making life better for someone else.
