“My Black Is Beautiful” is a relatively new BET talk/makeover show which began in 2009 that celebrates the beauty of the African-American woman. On March 25th & 26th, Tasha Smith, comedian Kim Coles, and soul singer Leela James were the guest panelists for the 2010 taping of “My Black Is Beautiful” in Los Angeles and let me tell you… we had a blast! BET also hosted a free makeover event that following Saturday at the JW Marriott Hotel at L.A. Live. From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, African American women were given the opportunity to pamper themselves for the day with free manicures, facials, hairstyling, dental screening, massages, and meditation/yoga. All you had to do needless to say, I felt blessed to be there! It truly was a treat, so thanks BET for an awesome experience
